About Us
DoctorWellington is changing the landscape of healthcare in Alabama. This service will provide employers with the healthcare toolkit of their dreams, allowing their employees to have free access (no copays or surprise bills!) to primary care AND urgent care through the help of our partner clinics. Similarly, this service will be available to the public for a low monthly cost, helping people all over the state have access to quality healthcare.

Currently, this company is a small startup with plenty of room to go! We are aiming to be a top-of-the-line service for employers and the go-to solution for millennials wanting reasonable, affordable, quality healthcare. You will be based out of our corporate office in downtown Birmingham, Alabama.

What will you do?
You will be the Marketing Manager, but your title can’t even begin to encompass everything you’ll have your hands in! As a small startup company, each person works closely with the other team members, from tech to sales to operations to marketing. This position will work intimately with the executives and founding employees of the company.

Your position will lay the foundation for future marketing/PR work of this company. You will manage the company website (making changes as necessary) and social media platforms. You will manage Google Analytics and SEO experiences. You will create marketing campaigns that are creative and strategic. You will develop and foster media relationships and public relations. You will also be head content creator, including email marketing and video marketing.

Additional Responsibilities of the Marketing Manager:

  • Provide insight and research into target market demographics, including implications for branding and messaging
  • Manage the wordpress site with the ability to make aesthetic and functionality changes
  • Meet with the tech and ops regularly for marketing and media status updates
  • Arrange free media marketing, such as interviews on local news channels, features in newspapers, etc.
  • Community outreach to spread the word about the service
  • Create creative marketing campaigns and promotional ideas
  • Create, manage, and maintain all social media platform presence
  • Create and produce video marketing content
  • Create, schedule, and manage email marketing
  • Contributing in other arenas of developing the business, such as sales attempts

Travel

  • We will service the entire state of Alabama, so it is possible there will be intrastate travel during the week with possible overnight stays required.

  • Healthcare is a 7 days/week industry. You may be needed outside normal business hours or even on weekends.

  • Your social media skills are through the roof, and you know how to install pixels. (And you know the kind of juicy info pixels can provide.)
  • You have a photographic understanding of Instagram.
  • You could make a flash mob happen in a flash.
  • You make getting front page headlines old news.
  • You think Google Analytics is so fun you call it a hobby.
  • You know how to make Google Analytics work for you...maybe even more than Google wants for you too.
  • You are an SEO master. With $100 you could make anything rank #1 for a day...or two.
  • You have experience in HTML coding that would make formatting and editing a website a breeze.
  • You know more about how Facebook works than Facebook.
  • You are a beast with Mailchimp.
  • You may not be the best artist in the world, but you dabble in graphic design and are open to learning more. (You’ve probably played around on Adobe and InDesign.)
  • You are poised, professional, and can think on your feet. You can quickly develop relationships and connections with people.
  • You are able to connect the quantitative and qualitative and then explain your conclusions to others.
  • You are resourceful. If you don’t know how to do something, you first try to find the answer yourself.
  • You are familiar with the healthcare landscape.
  • You are open to feedback and open to pivoting quickly if something is not working out.
