Job Overview:
As a Revenue Cycle Specialist at MainStreet, you’ll be responsible for managing the financial operations of our clinics. Reporting directly to the Director of Revenue Cycle Management, you will ensure that all aspects of the revenue cycle—from claim submission to final payment—run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and promptly reconcile all posting transactions, including payments, adjustments, and denials for both patients and insurers.
- Resolve clearinghouse errors and work through rejections.
- Review and address denials in clearinghouse worklists.
- Ensure the accuracy of account adjustments.
- Complete daily payment posting, reconciliation, and account closing tasks.
- Reconcile payments with accounting receipts for accuracy.
- Regularly review payment and adjustment postings for accuracy.
- Manage remittance and credit work queues as assigned.
- Maintain clearing accounts to ensure accurate financial tracking.
- Investigate and resolve credit balances and undistributed payments.
- Resolve insurance credits following payer guidelines.
- Assist with additional tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of healthcare data entry experience required.
- Must have healthcare experience and knowledge of billing and coding, including EOBs, ICD-10, and CPT codes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Must pass a standard drug screening, driving record check, and background check.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
