Superstar Instructors Wanted!   Do you want to deliver one of the best clinic staff/Medical Assistant training programs in the world?  Do you want to play a central part in launching new urgent care clinics?  Are you excited to teach others to help patients heal and feel better?

We are looking to hire several Medical Assistant Trainers to deliver technical training to new employees in our new North Carolina Training Center.    Our curriculum is very hands-on, and simulation focused.

MainStreet Family Care currently operates 30+ clinics throughout 4 states under our MainStreet and KidsStreet brands.   Our goal is to open 20 new clinics per year for the next several years as we focus on regional expansion throughout the rural Southeast US.  We Help Customers Feel Better. Fast.

Priorities:

  • 77% - Deliver structured training program (Medical Assistant, Occupational Medicine) to new clinic staff in our training center.  
  • 13% - Preparing materials, reporting, and paperwork.
  • 10% - Continuous improvement.
  • 100% - Be a cultural ambassador- lead by example by upholding and instilling MainStreet values of “Wow”, “Heal and Feel”, and “We are Family” with new staff members at all times.

Important Stuff:

  • COVID vaccination is required as a condition of employment.
  • Our Training Center is in Smithfield, NC (near Raleigh-Durham) and will require daily travel (M-F).
  • You will deliver a 4-day curriculum in tandem with another training instructor every week.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ experience proven teaching experience in the healthcare/medical industry.   You have some experience as a technical trainer in healthcare.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in patient-facing roles such as Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Phlebotomy Technician (or related).
  • Skills such as phlebotomy, vital signs, ECG, urinalysis, wound care, EMR/EHR, light billing and coding, filing, pharmacology, patient care, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient knowledge in human anatomy, medical office procedures, medical laws and ethics, medical terminology, medical office procedures, HIPAA, and EMR software.
  • Experience delivering simulation-based training and learning activities to small groups.
  • Degree in Healthcare Administration, Education, Instructional Design, Workplace Learning, Instructional Technology, or related field.
