About Us
MainStreet is a company on a roll! We built and opened sixteen Urgent Care clinics throughout Alabama in just 28 months. Most of our clinics are rural-based clinics, but we also have a brand of pediatric urgent cares in suburban/urban settings. We are building more Alabama locations and are expanding into Georgia. Our team is growing!

Our Provider Relations Manager is looking to bring a new member onto his team. Medical experience or credentialing experience is not required. We need someone who is obsessive compulsive about details and organization. This role interfaces with our doctors and nurse practitioners, requiring someone with good people and phone skills.

The Job
We are looking for a highly organized and detail driven individual with a team mindset who values accuracy and meeting deadlines. Candidates should be able to assist management in the onboarding of new healthcare providers by maintaining accurate personnel files, completing required insurance applications, assisting with emergent scheduling needs, and generally being a helpful presence on the team.

To be successful as Provider Relations and Credentialing Specialist, candidates should strive to be a resource to our healthcare providers while focusing on accuracy and timeliness. They should be prepared and responsive, willing to meet the changing needs of our clinics. The Provider Relations and Credentialing Specialist must be comfortable with computers, general office tasks, multiple deadlines and projects going simultaneously, and excel at following those projects through to completion.

Clinics are open seven days a week and extended hours. You should be prepared and available as needed to deal with issues that come up after hours and on weekends. Doctors and nurse practitioners may contact you at any time, any day of the year.


Typical Tasks

  • Compile and maintain accurate personnel files for NPs & MDs
  • Assist with collaboration setup and application for ABON/ALBME
  • Complete insurance applications for all new NPs & MDs while also providing requested corrections and recertifications to insurance companies
  • Setup and assist NPs with DOT certification
  • Maintain provider CAQH profiles and attestation
  • Assist in building staffing schedules and handling emergent scheduling needs
  • Various other tasks such as ordering scrubs, handling CME reimbursements, etc.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • Excellent computer skills, including full Microsoft Office suite preferable
