What you will do

At MainStreet, we don’t have clinic managers. Instead, we have MainStreet Mentors that manage 2 to 3 clinics each. MainStreet Mentors report to a Director of Clinic Operations (that’s you), who then reports to the COO. Your mission is to make your team deliver exceptional customer experiences, to develop A+++ systems and staff, and to make sure that each clinic is fulfilling its potential.

About You
Do you thrive leading a team? Enjoy building relationships? Do you take pride in your discipline, attention to detail, and efficiency… but also your ability to influence others to success? Do you like building systems that work AND putting the right people in place to use them? Does the idea of optimizing operations to deliver exceptional customer service in markets that need care excite you? If so, you may be a fit.

Responsibilities of the Director of Clinic Operations:

  • Promote, develop, and manage Mentors
  • Help manage, develop, and motivate clinic staff and providers
  • Develop, improve, and drive company operating standards
  • Create and manage clinic staff schedule and guide Mentors in addressing staff scheduling issues
  • Guide the Mentor’s handling of staff issues; handle higher order clinic staff and HR issues
  • Coordinate and manage all clinic facilities issues that Mentors are not able to addresses
  • Drive top-tier charting results (we use a 3rd party coder, but we must push the process, coordinate chart corrections, and monitor that our office visits stay above the target level and days-to-bill stay below target level)
  • Solve operational problems
  • Drive Incremental Improvement
  • Drive exceptional patient experiences / Follow up with dissatisfied customers
  • Foster Clinical Staff Moral and Culture
  • Lead team meetings
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Monitor and improve clinic performance to budget
  • Become a master of our EMR/PM software: DocuTAP

Travel

  • Our clinics are spread out, you so need to be ready to travel - during the day or with overnight travel - when necessary.

Because you rock, you can succeed at lots of stuff!! You think of yourself as the end of the line. When there’s a new or unexpected opportunity or problem, you find a way to take advantage of it. We are a fast-growing, fun company with lots of opportunity, and with that comes the need for everyone to put on any hat at any time. You look forward to handling an infinite variety of challenges.

Requisite Characteristics:

  • You need to be the BOMB!
  • You must be tireless, relentless, and driven. You take pride in your persistence.
  • You think about operational problems in the shower; while on vacation, you read business books.
  • You need to be resourceful. You have never seen an obstacle you could not get over or a problem you could not solve. You get things done. Period.
  • You are ultra-organized.
  • You love to set up systems and then improve them.
  • You believe in checklists and standardization.
  • You must have iron-clad values.
  • You are resilient. You can hear feedback, deal with difficult situations, and adjust as necessary, but you always do what you think is best.
  • You need to be good to go with the fact that we are open 7 days a week for extended hours. That means questions and issues can come up during the weekends and after normal business hours.
  • You need to have clinic side medical experience: you need to know what ICD-10 is, what RCM means, why Level 4 are important (and what they are). You need to know what Occ Med is.
  • You need to have some experience managing people.

This often means working on things at home, working evenings and Saturdays, and working more than a traditional “40 hours per week”.

7. Iron Clad Ethics
If you don’t have a do-the-right-thing, every time, all the time, approach our company is not for you.
