Provider Scheduling Coordinator – Birmingham, AL

MainStreet Family Care is planning to more than double in size from our current footprint of 20+ clinics to 50 clinics by 2023 and eventually over 100 clinics. We help customers heal better and feel better. Fast.

Our Provider Relations Manager is looking to bring a new member onto the team. Medical experience or credentialing experience is not required. We need someone who is obsessive compulsive about details and organization. This role is about managing our provider scheduling program and interfacing with our Doctors and Nurse Practitioners to ensure we have the capacity to operate our clinics, requiring someone with excellent planning & organizing skills.

The Details:

  • Manage Mainstreet Provider Scheduling program
  • Optimize provider work schedules
  • Coordinate all provider requests around absenteeism, shift changes, and vacations time
  • Respond to emergent scheduling needs
  • Collaborate with recruiting and business forecasting to ensure provider capacity at a local and regional level
  • Use historical data to develop schedules, staffing plans, and forecasts
  • Examine weekly, monthly, and annual staffing needs and ensure clinic capacity
  • Strive to be a resource to our healthcare providers while focusing on accuracy and timeliness
  • Be prepared and responsive as well as able to meet the changing needs of our clinics
  • Enforce scheduling compliance and MainStreet policies and procedures with providers
  • Clinics are open seven days a week and extended hours. You should be prepared and available as needed to deal with issues that come up after hours and on weekends. Doctors and nurse practitioners may contact you at any time, any day of the year

  • You need to be ultra-organized
  • No detail is too small. Details, details, details. Big focus on accuracy
  • You need to have ironclad values
  • We are open 7 days a week, extended hours, which means that the Provider Relations team must always be available and that means you too
  • Excellent computer skills, including full Microsoft Office suite preferable

  • Highly organized and detail driven individual with a team mindset who values accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills – You must be able to manage your time wisely and be willing to put in as many hours per week as needed
  • Self-starter mentality – if after completing training and reviewing a plan, you’re the type of person who can run with it and find new and even better ways of doing things on your own, you’ll thrive in this position
  • Relationship building and networking – working with various professionals while building and maintaining relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • At least 1-3 years of previous professional office experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred
