Administrative Assistant (Full-Time) – Birmingham, AL
MainStreet Family Care operates a rapidly growing population of urgent care/primary care clinics throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia and most recently, we expanded into our fourth state - North Carolina!
We aren't slowing down anytime soon and will double in size in 2023!
Due to our rapid growth, we are looking for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant to join our Revenue Cycle Management team! This position will be located at our corporate headquarters in downtown Birmingham, AL.
Our ideal Full-Time Administrative Assistant will have excellent customer service skills, be able to handle inbound calls quickly and efficiently, and work exceptionally well in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Answer the telephone and create the first impression of the company to the caller
- Provide solutions/answers in a prompt and courteous manner, following established policies and procedures
- Properly triage telephone calls in accordance with policy
- Assist patients and responsible parties regarding account inquiries
- Process patient payments and set up payment plans per billing policy
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
- Answer email and faxes in Outlook group email
- Provide full administrative support including scanning, copying, and data entry
- Prepare and submit medical records to insurers and other requesters
- Provide support to the Revenue Cycle Management department and other duties as assigned
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One (1) year of professional office experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
