Travel Trainer – Birmingham, AL

Road warrior trainers wanted! Do you want to travel across the rural Southeast while delivering the best clinic staff training programs in the world? Do you want to play a central part in launching new urgent care clinics? Are you excited to teach others to complete lab-work, triage, administer a flu vaccine, and WOW the patient?

MainStreet Family Care currently operates 20+ clinics throughout Alabama and Georgia under our MainStreet and KidsStreet brands, and we will more than double that number by 2022. Beyond 2022? The sky's the limit! Our goal is to open 12-19 new clinics per year for the next 5-7 years as we focus on regional expansion throughout the rural Southeast US. We Help Customers Feel Better. Fast.

Expanding our footprint means that it's time to expand our Training team. We are looking to hire several Travel Trainers to work shoulder-to-shoulder with the clinic manager to ensure the new clinic staff is ready to open and operate a new MainStreet Family clinic successfully.

Priorities:

  • 57% - Deliver structured training program (Front Desk, Medical Assistant, Occupational Medicine) to new clinic staff across our territory.
  • 18% - Parachute into low performing (or low tenured clinics) and up-skill the workforce as needed.
  • 13% - Quality control/auditing to ensure standardization across all clinic locations.
  • 12% - Continuous improvement projects as needed.
  • 100% - Be a cultural ambassador- lead by example by upholding and instilling MainStreet values of “Wow”, “Heal and Feel”, and “We are Family” with new staff members at all times.

  • Up to $45,000 base, Matching 401K, Medical/Dental/Vision, PTO, Company Vehicle, Employee Assistance Program, Referral programs.

Important Stuff:

  • COVID vaccination is required as a condition of employment.
  • Our Headquarters are in Birmingham AL. We are open to remote (GA, AL, Northern FL, SC, NC)
  • This is a heavy travel-role (80%). We will provide company-owned vehicle and pay for lodging, food, and fuel.

Who Are You?

  • Maybe you LOVE teaching but are tired of dealing with standardized tests, difficult parents, and paying for your own supplies?
  • Maybe you are a FANTASTIC Medical Assistant, Patient Technician, LPN, or CNA but want to coach and teach others?

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, healthcare administration, business, biology, or related field

or

  • 4+ years in patient-facing roles such as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician (or related).
  • Valid Driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Operations, Instructional Design, Education, Workforce Learning, or Related field.
  • Experience in urgent care operations (or healthcare operations).
  • Experience working (or training others) in direct patient care or customer-facing roles in retail, hospitality, or fast-casual industries
  • Experience delivering simulation-based training and learning activities to small groups.
  • Experience delivering training and coaching others.
  • Experience working in highly standardized environments with quality control mechanism and systems.
